Attorney at Law (Spain and Germany)
Areas of Expertise
Kathrin has been working at BALDER as an attorney in the trademark department since September 2017. She can also use the title “abogada”, as her German degree was recognized in Spain in 2011 after successfully passing an oral and written examination at the Ministry of Justice in Madrid. In addition, Kathrin has been a specialist in intellectual property law since 2013.
At BALDER, Kathrin advises German-speaking clients in need of legal advice in Spain and Latin America, which is particularly enjoyable for her because it allows her to combine two worlds: her German roots with her Argentinean past. Kathrin lived in Buenos Aires with her family from the age of three to fourteen, which she says enriched her greatly.
Kathrin, as is the case with so many other German BALDER colleagues, moved to Barcelona in January 2014 for love and good weather, where she initially worked in the legal department of a well-known fashion company, but was soon drawn back to the commercial legal world, at BALDER.
Kathrin regularly writes articles on current IP topics for the German magazine GRUR-Prax.
In her private life, Kathrin enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
