She has advised major pharmaceutical companies and has been involved as an expert in several patent infringement lawsuits. She has also acquired experience in SPCs for pharmaceuticals.

In 2006 Carlota joined the Patent Department of one of the best-known Spanish IP firms, with offices in Spain, Portugal and throughout Latin America, where she worked in close cooperation with some of the co-founders of BALDER, with a special focus on the prosecution of patent applications in Latin America and before the EPO.

In her spare time, Carlota enjoys going for a walk with her group of friends and their dogs, practicing aqua-gym and birdwatching. She also likes spending time with her family, being in the nature and walking in the mountains. She loves reading and classical music.
