When Inmaculada finished her Law Degree, she started working for a prestigious private University, where she stayed for five years, as Procedural Law teacher.
After this period, she had the opportunity to join the Spanish Parliament, where she worked as the Vice-president’s counsel.
Inmaculada joined afterwards a general law firm, where she worked as an attorney-at-law. In 2006, she specialized in IP however and joined one of the main Spanish firms in IP at that moment, as she felt that an extremely specific law field as IP required a deep knowledge of current legislation and daily practice of both the Trademark Office and the Courts. Conflicts in trademarks matters may be few but they do have enormous importance, from both a legal and an economic point of view…
She has acquired extensive experience in brand protection strategy -including trademark clearance and filing strategy- and advising on trademark disputes -including opposition proceedings, negotiation and drafting of settlement agreements-, handling large scale trademark portfolios for clients operating in a diverse range of fields and industries.
Inmaculada says:
Balder represents an ambitious professional project for any professionals in the field. The firm meets the essential requirements: trained and experienced colleagues, willing to serve the client the best they can and excited about learning and improving every day. As the famous Spanish philosopher Ortega y Gasset said: “it is a shame doing things forced, when you could do them enthusiastically”.
