Attorney at Law

Paula was born in Bilbao and studied at the Deutsche Schule of this city, in which after the Abitur she studied law at the University of Deusto. Having passed her undergraduate exam, she earned a Master’s degree in International Law at ISDE (Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía) in Madrid. During part of this Master, she worked at Baker&McKenzie, in the Commercial Department of M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions).

It was during her Master’s degree when she learned the basic notions of Industrial and Intellectual Property from “first hand” and since she liked the subject matter so much, hereafter she decided to do an internship at the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, where she worked in the legal Coordination and International Relations Department. There, she understood that this was the specialization she wanted to dedicate herself to.

In order to improve her knowledge of the subject, she went from north to south… -east, to attend a Master program (Magister Lvcentinvs, Master’s degree in Industrial and Intellectual Property) at the University of Alicante.

Once the Master’s degree was completed, she joined BALDER, which, as it is well known, is a company characterized by values such as effort, coherence, honesty…. and a lot of motivation. These values that have never been alien to Paula, since she has always lived them in all facets of her life: whether studying in Germany or in Australia, volunteering in Nepal, what she did after the earthquake in May 2015; or in Madrid, where she is promoting her professional career thanks to the international environment that characterizes BALDER – and that allows her to get to know other cultures on a daily basis, if not physically, as she would like, professionally and culturally.

Friends, traveling, cooking and listening to music belong to her favorite hobbies. Her German and English knowledge has ultimately allowed her to enjoy all of them without problems.
