M.A. Spanish and German Philology and History
Cordula was born and raised in Cologne, Germany. While she was travelling in Spain as a young girl, she fell in love with the country and its culture. So that after finishing school she decided to spend a year in La Coruña and Madrid to learn the language. Later on she went to university in Leipzig, Madrid, Cologne and Bonn graduating in Spanish and German Philology and History.
While studying, she already gained professional experience as a journalist working with several newspapers, radio stations and a news agency specialised in matters related to globalisation, development, human rights and the environment. After that Cordula worked for more than seven years in the field of international development cooperation, most of the time as advisor to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
She always had a special interest in fair-trade issues. That is why she collaborated with the Fairtrade Foundation and with an ethical fashion brand in London and created her own online shop for eco and fair-trade fashion.
During all that years she never lost her bond to Spain. In 2010 she made her dream come true and eventually moved to Madrid.
Since July 2015 Cordula is part of the trademark department at BALDER. She loves working in an international context, having the opportunity to use different languages and to keep growing with new challenges every day.
In her spare time, she likes making trips into nature, going to the theatre and playing tabletop games with her friends.
